Bukama Village School is at Bukama in the Yasawa Islands, with 70 students and 6 teachers.

In 2026 we installed a 12 kW solar array and 26.4 kWh of battery storage, so the classrooms and teachers' homes now have power day and night. The school also received Starlink internet, laptops and smart TVs.

The school was funded through the Australian Government's REnew Pacific program. The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
