Galoa Village School is on Galoa Island, off Kadavu, with 41 students and 5 teachers. It is one of eight schools in the Kadavu area that we powered in 2026.

A solar array of 8 kW and 19.8 kWh of battery storage now power the classrooms and teachers' homes around the clock. The school also has Starlink internet.

The school was funded through the Australian Government's REnew Pacific program. The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
