Nairai District School is on Nairai Island, in the Lomaiviti Group, with 34 students and 5 teachers. It is one of three schools on Nairai that we powered in 2026.

The school now has a 9 kW solar array and 26.4 kWh of battery storage, giving the classrooms and teachers' homes 24-hour power.

The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
