Nawaikama Village School is on Gau Island, in the Lomaiviti Group, with 55 students and 5 teachers. It is one of eight schools on Gau that we powered in 2026.

Its 9.2 kW solar array and 26.4 kWh of battery storage keep the classrooms and teachers' homes powered day and night.

The school was funded through the Australian Government's REnew Pacific program. The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
