Veinuga Primary School is a small school in Veinuga, in the interior of Viti Levu, with 27 students and 4 teachers.
In 2026 we installed a 7 kW solar array with 19.8 kWh of battery storage, so the classrooms and teachers' homes now have power day and night. Starlink internet, laptops and smart TVs came with it, opening up online learning for students and teachers.
The school was funded through the Australian Government's REnew Pacific program. The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
