Wainikeli Secondary

Wainikeli Secondary is at Wainikeli on Taveuni. It is a small secondary school, with 22 students and 7 teachers.

In 2026 we installed a 12 kW solar array with 39.6 kWh of battery storage, bringing 24-hour power to the classrooms and teachers' homes. The school also received Starlink internet, laptops and smart TVs. Wainikeli District School got its own system the same year.

The school was funded through the Australian Government's REnew Pacific program. The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
