Waitoga Village School is on Nairai Island, in the Lomaiviti Group, with 47 students and 5 teachers. Some of its students board at the school in two hostels. It is one of three schools on Nairai that we powered in 2026.

A 9 kW solar array and 39.6 kWh of battery storage now power the classrooms, teachers' homes and hostels around the clock, and a freezer for the hostels means food for the boarders can be stored safely.

The system is part of The Solar Fund (Fiji), which monitors it and pays for its servicing and repairs, so it keeps working long after the installers have gone.
